Newtown, CT

Yesterday’s events are still hitting hard all over the United States. Whether or not you knew the 20 children who were killed yesterday in the school shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary, you should empathize with the parents and family of those children, who had not lived long enough to cause harm in this world, who had not yet experienced the wonders of life.

This incident is not the first of this year in which arms were used against innocent civilians, and it only goes to show us the harm in the 2nd amendment. What sort of country gives us the right to bear arms, but not even the right to health care? We have mixed up priorities, and it results in the death of innocents.

Rest in peace, the victims of the shooting.
