Hi Mr. Gobin. My name is Morgan; I’m a freshman living in Pardee Tower at USC. Currently, I have been having some problems, specifically with the new finger scanning process required to enter every residential building on campus. The idea, when originally proposed, seemed smart because all of us thought it to be in lieu of scanning our cards, but alas this is not so. Just being frank, the finger scanning is a waste of time and resources. The real problem with residential housing lays in piggy backing, but only if this person is a non USC individual. We must trust the members of the Trojan community not to steal from family, and therefore allow access to all dorms for all USC students, allowing friends to come and go. I understand your concern for our safety here, but the threat lays outside more than it does in the dorm. Even criminals have finger prints.
Fight on! Morgan Greenwald
